By joining Nottingham Clarion Cycling Club you consent for us to store and process your personal information for the purpose of administering and fulfilling your membership and participation in Club events, as well as communicating with you about the activities of the Club and providing access to other Club resources (such as the website and discussion forum).
The data that we hold on you includes your name, address, telephone and email address, date of birth and emergency contact details which you voluntarily provide. Access to your data is restricted to elected members of the Club committee and affiliated coaches, who require access to your data in order to administer your membership and activities in which you participate.
Your personal information will be held by the Club for as long as you are a member and destroyed after four years of inactivity.
Limited data identifying you may be retained and in some cases published by the Club for purposes such as historic race results, activity participation and records, but will typically be limited to your name and age or age category at the time of the event. This applies to members, former members and non-members who have participated in a Club event.
Data on non-members making an enquiry to the Club will be held and processes only for the purpose of responding to that enquiry.
We may share your personal information with sports governing bodies, such as British Cycling and Cycling Time Trials, as part of the process of administering activities and events in which you participate.
We will not provide your personal information to any third parties for the purpose of marketing or other data collection.
We will take reasonable care to keep your information secure and to prevent any unauthorised access.
Nottingham Clarion Cycling Club is affiliated to the National Clarion Cycling Club, which you have the option to join as part of your membership. Nottingham Clarion Cycling Club is a separate entity to the National Clarion Cycling Club, who have their own Data Protection policy.
