Youth Activties

Nottingham Clarion has vibrant and active Youth section, aimed at 8 to 16 year olds. It's good fun and is run by trained coaches as part of the British Cycling Go-Ride scheme.

This is a great foundation for kids who want to get into cycling, develop their skills and ride with others.

It is also the ideal way to get into racing, with former Nottingham Clarion Youth members now racing at the top level in the UK and across Europe, as well as representing Great Britain.

Nottingham Clarion is a British Cycling Go-Ride Club and holds the Sport England Club Mark accreditation, which stands for higher standards of welfare, equity, coaching and management in community sports Clubs.

Youth Training Sessions

The Club runs regular training and skills sessions throughout the year. You can find out more about our latest news and events in our Youth section of our forum here: Forum Youth Activities

In addition to our these club sessions we are also involved with the development of the after school club held at Abbey Road Primary School in West Bridgford, this provides activities for the youngsters from the school to build on what they have learned in curriculum time and put their new techniques and skills in to practice. Many riders progress from the school club to becoming fully fledged members of the Nottingham Clarion Cycling Club. The school also hosts various Inter School competitions and Go Ride Racing events supported by the Club.
