The Red and White of Nottingham Clarion does not just happen without some organisation and time for people behind the scenes. Sometimes it may not be very visible – but that is usually associated with a job being done simply and well – so that no one knows it has actually happened (or the effort that when in to making something happen?).

The Annual General Meeting is the one time in the year when you – a member of the club – have to elect (support?) the people that do give up their time to run the club – otherwise we will have no club. If you are a recipient of this email, having no club would not be a good thing.

In addition to appointing / supporting the people that do help the club to live and breathe behind the scenes, the AGM is your opportunity to formally raise questions or ideas as to why things happen or how could things move forwards to be different in the future.

The date of the AGM this year has been set to be Saturday 24th March at 12 noon in the Village Hall at Cropwell Bishop. This will coincide with a shorter Saturday Club Run which will finish back at Cropwell Bishop for the AGM. We will provide refreshments to support the recovery of those who have been out in the morning! (you can try and pre-order if you like!).

A draft agenda for the meeting will be published on the Forum in Mid February. Suggestions for what could be done better / differently for discussion in the AGM should be emailed to Chris Dussek by 1st March in order that we can finalise the agenda before the meeting is held.
Location Cropwell Bishop Memorial Hall, 73 Nottingham Road, Cropwell Bishop NG12 3BA
